Visit to the factory of Paterianakis family




Abiding by the calendar of Rotary International, where October is the month of Professional Action, on Sunday 31/10/2004 the Rotary Club of Iraklio organized an excursion - visit to the factory of production and bottling of ecological wine that is owned by the well-known Paterianakis family.

The factory is located not long after the village Melesses, where we were greeted warmly by the owners upon arrival. Giorgos and Popi Paterianaki also informatively guided us to the factory settlement.

They explained to us how the grapes were raised using an ecological system and how they reach bottling through supermodern machinery.

In the end they offered to us delicious dishes escorted by various wines from their famous brands.

After thanking them for the great guided tour we went to a beautiful tavern at Kounavoi where we enjoyed exquisite dishes escorted by exquisite red wine, offered by the Paterianakis firm.
